turkish delight

so to close gavynns study of turkey we had a Turkish style tea party. Although it was not as authentic as we would have liked it to be it was still very fun. We had strong brewed tea (unfortunately i ran out of time an was unable to get real Turkish tea) an to go with the tea (the part the kids were most excited about i think) some turkish delight! In turkey its called rahat lokhoun and means soothing to the throat. the kids loved it i thought it was good its kind of like a jelly or chewy candy with some kind of yummy sugary coating , the flavor was nice.(maybe after seeing Narnia and reading all the hype of how when it was first made the taste testers wanted more and more, my expectations were a little high,)
then we pilled up the pillows becuase thats how the turks would have done it and we enjoyed our tea, turkish delight and each others company with some  Turkish music playing in the back ground.
oh and the tea was served with sugar to keep with  tradition
tho i dont think its how the turks held their tea "parties" the kids decided to dress up
then gavynn told us stories of his "travels" to turkey. recapping all he learned threw his studies
